About the Role
SurvWest, LLC is seeking a motivated Survey Project Manager to support our Survey and Geospatial Services from our Englewood, Colorado office. This role is responsible for managing survey projects from initiation through delivery, coordinating with internal teams and clients, and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with applicable standards.
The Survey Project Manager works closely with field crews, CAD technicians, and clients to deliver a wide range of survey services including survey control, boundary surveys, right-of-way (ROW), ALTA/NSPS, topographic, and engineering design surveys.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of professional surveying experience
Prior project coordination or project management experience
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley survey platforms
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field
Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in Colorado, or progress toward licensure
Experience with CDOT or municipal survey projects
Trimble Business Center experience
Bentley software experience (MicroStation, OpenRoads / InRoads)
GIS experience
Experience working on infrastructure, transportation, or utility-related projects
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Project Management & Coordination
Manage survey projects from proposal handoff through final delivery.
Coordinate survey field crews and office production staff.
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
Coordinate with SUE, Utility Coordination, and engineering teams as required.
Technical Oversight
Review survey deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
Support preparation of survey control networks, boundary surveys, ROW surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, topographic surveys, and engineering design surveys.
Ensure compliance with applicable standards and client requirements.
Assist with QA/QC processes prior to final deliverable issuance.
Communication & Documentation
Communicate project status, risks, and changes clearly to clients and internal teams.
Prepare project documentation, schedules, and progress updates.
Support proposal development, scope clarification, and change management as needed.

This role provides a clear pathway to Senior Survey Project Manager (PLS) responsibilities based on performance, leadership ability, licensure progression, and project complexity handled.
